Occupation description
Measures, analyses and maintains the flow and quality of water in rivers, lakes, stormwater and sewage, and surveys and maps oceans, seas and rivers.
ANZSCO skill level 2
Skill level 2 The general Australian qualification level is an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute within the classification, although additional experience or training can also be required. AQF is the Australian Qualifications Framework; separate assessment and visa rules still need to be checked.

In Australia: In New Zealand: At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
